LAND-USE PLANNING AND THE INTERCHANGE COMMUNITY

LAND-USE ADJUSTMENTS AT INTERCHANGE LOCATIONS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF LAND-USE REGULATION AND CONTROL IN PRESERVING HIGHWAY EFFICIENCY ARE DISCUSSED. THE ANALYSIS COVERS ALTERNATIVE OBJECTIVES OF LAND UTILIZATION, PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH CONFLICTING ECONOMIC INTERESTS, HYPOTHESIS DESERVING OF EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION, AND THE CURRENT STATUS OF RESEARCH IN THE LAND-USE PLANNING FIELD.
