Metro Ligero Oeste: Optimising Rolling Stock Figures
Metro Ligero Oeste, an operator of light rail lines in the Madrid region, recent modified the design of its rolling stock to improve the overall quality of its service. Driver and user suggestions were incorporated into the redesign. The cars are designed to be fully accessible and optimize passenger flows. Other improved features include the repositioning of driver cabin controls to reduce distraction and the removal of unnecessary stop-request buttons. In addition, speed displays for drivers, translucent vinyl cabin partitions, resistors to reduce door buzzer sound and hands-free radio systems were installed.
