PRINTING SOURCES OF IMAGE DEFORMATION
THE RESULTS OF AN INVESTIGATION OF DIAPOSITIVES PRINTED WITH A CONTACT PRINTER USING CENTRALLY PROJECTED LIGHT SHOWED THAT PROPER CONTACT BETWEEN NEGATIVE AND DIAPOSITIVE EMULSION MUST BE ACHIEVED IN ORDER TO OBTAIN DIAPOSITIVES WITH AN IMAGE GEOMETRY EQUIVALENT TO THAT OF THE NEGATIVE. SEVERAL SOURCES OF IMPROPER CONTACT OF THE TWO EMULSIONS WERE ENCOUNTERED IN ONE PARTICULAR PRINTER AND MODIFICATIONS WERE INTRODUCED TO ELIMINATE THEM.
