Evaluation of guidance system for visually disabled
The design and implementation of a guidance system to be used by blind passengers when they utilize railways is described. A field test was carried out to evaluate the system at some stations in urban areas in Japan. The results of the test showed that the system is effective enough to be able to support blind people even when they walk in places where they have never been before. For the covering abstract see ITRD E140665.
