DISABLED PERSONS AS DRIVERS. TESTS AND EQUIPMENT
HANDIKAPPADE SOM BILFOERARE. OM TEST OCH UTRUSTNIGAR VID AMU-CENTER HEDEMORA
By systematic evaluation of the interaction between driver and vehicle, it is possible to predict the results that can be achieved during the period of driving training. In cases of handicapped persons, it is often necessary to replace the existing manoeuvre levers of the car with other control devices. The evaluation method used in this report is the mtm-method (method-time-measurement). The report also contains a detailed description of control devices for handicapped drivers (the "Hedemora" series) together with a discussion on various types of physical disabilities, and the implications for the driving ability of the handicapped persons. /TRRL/
