Long-distance Truck Drivers Discuss Their Occupation
In order to gain further insight into the factors related to long-distance truck driver turnover and satisfaction, in-depth interviews were conducted with 104 long-distance truck drivers. Drivers were asked to identify what single aspect of their work environment could be changed to most improve the quality of their life and also to share their thoughts about the high turnover rate of long-distance truck drivers. Driver responses are categorized, and selected verbatim driver comments are included.
