THE BATTLE AGAINST NOISE FROM TRANSPORT. ONE OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The Federal Ministry of the Interior in the Federal Republic of Germany set up a Working Party to combat noise in March 1977. It has members from all related areas. The final report was submitted in October 1978 and contains details of the many steps that should be taken by the authorities, manufacturers and scientists. The harmful substances released in exhaust fumes also need to be reduced, as well as noise levels.
