The Latest CDR System Data from GM Vehicles Update
The event data recorders on General Motors (GM) light vehicles provide a wealth of information for accident investigators. This article describes the data that is available with GM's latest software and hardware updates. The updates can be divided into several categories: changes to how data from currently supported vehicles has changed, carryover vehicle coverage and fixes for vehicle coverage, and new vehicle coverage. Among the updates is a change in display for delta-v data, enhanced explanations for some current data elements, the addition of a rollover sensor, and two new umbilical cables. More changes are planned for the future.
