ARTS-III AUGMENTED TRACKING STUDY
The report is compiled from the results obtained during investigation of methods for improving aircraft tracking techniques within the ARTS-III system. This study recognizes the current tracking level of the Basic Radar Beacon Tracking Level (RBTL) system as the starting point for development. At this level, both radar and beacon target reports from a common sensor site are available for tracking. The work described by this report is an investigation of new methods for utilizing these target reports as well as optimizing and refining existing methods. (Author Modified Abstract)
