Mobitic E-Learning Project: A French I.T.S. Knowledge Network to Enhance Mobility Management Professional Skills
The increasing use of Intelligent Transport Systems for transport and mobility management tasks raises issues concerning the improvement of professional knowledge and skills. This paper describes the basic structure and philosophy of a current French project, Mobitic, which aims to create a training campus in order to meet this growing concern. Led by the “ITS Bretagne” association, the Mobitic Campus gathers, in a collaborative Consortium, research and training organizations, state and local authorities as well as private companies. Specific training programs will be developed with multiple-disciplinary content, according to the results of previous analyses of the targeted professional concerns and prospective studies of the domain’s evolution.
