MULTIDISCIPLINARY ACCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS REPORTS
The report analyzes 39 multidisciplinary highway accident investigations conducted under contract with U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. On-scene and subsequent investigations of 39 accidents (37 with resulting fatalities), from 7/1/69-8/31/70 involving 63 vehicles and a total of 100 occupants. A description of methodology is given. Trends are discussed, standards are evaluated and conclusions and recommendations are given. Copies of the summary and collision diagram for each of the 39 cases are included. (Author)
