L'Association Technique Routiere D'Asie Et D'Australasie (REAAA)

The vision of the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA) is "to be the most effective regional organisation providing members with technology interchange, transfer and services to promote a better future in road-related engineering." A regional body set up for the promotion and advancement of the science and practice of road engineering and related professions, its underlying principles are regional cooperation and technical harmony. "To meet the needs of members for professional and organisational understanding and co-operation both with and beyond this region" is REAAA's mission. The authors present an overview of REAAA's formation; governing council; Memorandum of Understanding with the World Road Congress (PIARC); achievements; and knowledge transfer activities, including the REAAA Conference, REAAA Journal and Newsletter, Compendia of Best Practice, Mino Roadshow, and website (www.reaaa.net).
