DEPLOYABLE HEAD RESTRAINTS
The object has been to extend and further develop the concept of the inflating head restraint system for passenger automobiles, with special emphasis on the development of totally inflating systems with self-contained fore-and-aft stiffness, and development of optimum head restraint shapes for oblique as well as direct rear end impacts.
