History, Development, and Future Prospects for Geosynthetics Industries in China: Part 1 of 2

This article examines the development of geosynthetics production, applications, testing, market supply and demand, development trends, and research in China. Focus is on the application prospects of geosynthetics in key construction projects including hydropower construction, environmental engineering, railway construction, road construction, seaports and airports, mine construction, urban construction, as well as the western region of China. It concludes with a brief discussion of current projects in China involving the use of geosynthetics.
