Best Practices for Preventing Wildlife–Vehicle Collisions
This article briefly reviews the characteristics of wildlife–vehicle collisions (WVCs); identifies the 21 threatened and endangered species for which road mortality is among the major threats to survival in the United States; and presents the findings of an expert panel concerning WVC mitigation measures that should be implemented, that should be researched further and that should be neither implemented nor researched further.
