Reinforced earth - update (2006-2009)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on design, testing, modelling, construction and monitoring of reinforced earth structures. Structures covered include retaining walls, embankments, abutments, slopes and platforms. Abstracts are included on reinforcement methods such as soil nailing, and reinforcement materials including fibres, geosynthetics and recycled materials. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2006 and 2009. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
