OSCILLATIONS OF BUOY-CABLE MOORING SYSTEMS
Outlines a procedure for predicting the wave-excited motions in ocean moorings. The moorings consist of rigid buoys interconnected by lines which are perfectly flexible in bending. A modal analysis is made of the linearized equations which govern the excursions about an equilibrium configuration. The procedure is also used to evaluate the matrix of flexibility influence coefficients for small deviations about the equilibrium configuration. (Author)
