A THEORETICAL REMARK ON THE STRESS FIELD AROUND PRESTRESSED ROCK BOLTS
The stress field in the rock around a prestressed rock bolt is considered. It is shown that the stress field only a couple of hole diameters away from the bore hole is almost identical to the imaginary, but more easily calculable, stress field that is created when there is no bore hole between the rock bolt forces. /Author/TRRL/
