EVALUATION OF EXTREME LOADS ON JACK-UP DRILLING RIGS DURING THE SIMULTANEOUS EFFECT OF WAVES AND WIND
The probability of the distribution of wind/wave amplitudes and loading coefficients was investigated on the basis of rules for the transformation of random functions. A combination of statistical and experimental methods was used to evaluate maximum loadings imposed on rig legs. The result indicates available scope for reducing the metal content of rig structures.
