TAMPing the streets of Stockport
As asset management accounting forces more local authorities to record their roads and street furniture, this article reveals how the human touch can help with the inventory. The service-wide application of asset management is a relatively new concept, and this article illustrates, using Stockport as an example, that the adoption of simple, proven technologies can still be enough to provide an authority with an economic dataset to help develop its transport asset-management plan (TAMP).
