BIG SLIPFORMER PAVES CURBED STREETS

The paper reports how full-width precast, prestressed concrete pavement and curbs are placed in single pass on prepared subgrade by big slipform paver. Careful staging of construction permits vehicular access within a half block of residential frontages. A portable mixer set up in a small Iowa community provides concrete for a large slipform paving project. /EI/
