The Role of Coastal Zone Management Programs in Adaptation to Climate Change
This report investigates the future and current roles of state coastal zone management programs in addressing climate change. This report tries to: (1) Inform federal agencies and the U.S. Congress of the role of state coastal zone management programs in targeting climate change; (2) Inform U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA’s) and Coastal States Organization (CSO) efforts to reauthorize the Coastal Zone Management Act; (3) Inform federal agencies of key information, and policy, and research needs; and (4) Provide for information interchange among coastal states and territories.
