Evaluation of Digital Camera Technology for Bridge Inspection
This document describes the evaluation conducted by Tennessee DOT of a variety of digital cameras for use in documentation of bridge inspections. The results show that current digital technology is capable of replacing conventional bridge photography methods. Recently introduced digital cameras are fully capable of capturing bridge inspection photographs in sufficient detail to support a safety and engineering evaluation.
