Washington Metro Needs Reform, Not a Federal Bailout
Legislation is being introduced to provide subsidies over 10 years to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). This paper argues against the passage of this legislation. The author feels that the legislation would be overstepping federal bounds and rewarding poor performance with a taxpayer bailout.
