Development of Laboratory Device to Simulate Roller-Compacted Concrete Placement
Laboratory study results are presented in this paper in regard to a device that simulates roller-compacted concrete placement. A novel device is used in the laboratory setup that realistically simulates site conditions, including several curing conditions, as it consolidates concrete layers. Field results obtained at Brazil's Dona Francisca Hydro Power Plant were compared to laboratory test results. The correlation between field and laboratory results was analyzed by using statistical methods.
