High Performance Schools for America
Green building techniques pay particular attention to reduced energy and water consumption, improved air quality, and schools, and a study by Kats compiles various efforts to quantify the benefit of these high performance schools. The outcome is clear: a slight cost premium results in savings for the school district and more successful students. High performance schools, built to green standards, aid in reducing global warming emissions and increase learning by implementing a green buildings standard and loan fund for all elementary and secondary schools.
