Research into Security at Stations
In June 2006 Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) was asked by the Association of Train Operating Companies to commission a review of crime on the rail network and undertake an assessment of the measures that are being taken to reduce it. It was not intended that the project would require any primary research, but rather that use should be made of existing data. The intention was to present facts to help the industry decide what would be most effective in improving safety and security, for passengers and staff, at railway stations and on trains.
