Construction and Preliminary HVS Tests of Pre-Cast Concrete Pavement Slabs
This report presents the details on the construction and preliminary load tests on an experimental pavement. The pavement is comprised of ten pre-cast slabs of Super-Slab and was installed at the intersection of I-15 and SR210 in San Bernardino County in Southern California. The report describes the construction process of the test section and presents the detailed results of the preliminary short-duration performance tests. The Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) tests were used to evaluate the use of the Super-Slab System as a long-life rehabilitation strategy for concrete pavements.
