"MOUDO-CANE" - 3-D HUMAN NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH NEIGHBORING SPACE INFORMATION
Walking is the most fundamental means of human transportation. Unlike travel by car, walking is not planar, but rather stereoscopic. A real 3D navigation system was developed for pedestrian point-to-point navigation, in which position detection is driven mainly by dead reckoning with the help of the RFID technology. There are many navigation systems for pedestrian but few can consider dynamic information. The new "Moudo-Cane" system extends the previously developed system and provides more reliable and convenient guidance throughout the journey not only navigation for everyone, but also as a movement aid for visually impaired or wheelchair-bound users.
