REMOTELY CONTROLLED TRACTOR IN SCARIFICATION
FUAERRMANOEVRERAD DRAGMASKIN I MARKBEREDNING
Operators of tractors towing scarification equipment are subjected to considerable somatic vibration. Furthermore, the work is quite monotonous. A test with a radio controlled tractor was carried out to establish the likelihood of reducing these problems through the use of remote control. The results established that it was exceedingly difficult to utilize the technique where it was needed most. However, the situation in which the operator could choose between sitting in the tractor cab or walking beside the machine and operating it by means of remote control was found to be beneficial from the viewpoint of physical well-being, the varying nature of the work and job satisfaction. /TRRL/
