PROBLEM OF RELIABILITY OF POLYAMIDE BEARING INSERTS IN DIESEL ENGINES
Authors discuss the polymer coating as an antifriction element for bearing inserts, using polyamide material to determine adhesion strength to metallic backing. Studies were carried out to 1) establish the effect of temperature gradient on adhesion strength; 2) determine the influence of oil saturation on adhesion; and 3) evaluate the total effect of other factors on adhesion strength.
