Innovative Delivery in European Urban Space
This article briefly describes the European Union (EU) project called FIDEUS (Freight: Innovative Delivery in European Urban Space). FIDEUS is intended to contribute to reducing both traffic and emissions in cities by improving logistics and transportation approaches. The primary objective of FIDEUS is to level out the interests of local communities, of business people and their customers, of logistic companies, and of others who are all players in the regional economic traffic situation. Special attention is focused on emission control, road safety, efficiency, economic potential, delivery of goods, and waste disposal.
