Using the Results of Contractor-Performed Tests in Quality Assurance
This report includes select chapters of the contractor's final report on this project, which explores whether state departments of transportation (DOTs) can effectively use contractor-performed test results in the quality-assurance process. The results of state DOT- and contractor-performed tests for hot mixed asphalt concrete, portland cement concrete, and granular base course were collected and statistically compared. NCHRP Research Results Digest 323, which has the same title as this report, summarizes the results and findings of this project.
