Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) California Demonstration Evaluation
This report documents the evaluation process and summary of the key findings for the 2005 World Congress Demonstration, also considered as the initial phase of the Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) California Testbed. Focus is on providing guidance and recommendations for the VII Proof of Concept. This phase of the VII deployment involves providing fixed roadside units (RSU) along routes in San Francisco and along the San Francisco Bay Area peninsula that are operated by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). It also involves the development of software interfaces between the onboard equipment, RSU, and 511 message servers.
