This report presents a summary of the state of the Partners for Advanced Transit and Highways (PATH) Advanced Vehicle Control and Safety Systems (AVCSS) research. The objectives and main results for each of the projects are stated. The following topic areas are included: 1) vehicle control; 2) vehicle safety; 3) enabling technologies; and, 4) system operations.
