Law enforcement and legal aspects of intelligent transport systems update(2002-2007)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 60 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the use of intelligent transport systems for law enforcement in areas such as parking, speedlimits, vehicle weight, road pricing, bus lanes and toll collection. The legal implications of the introduction of intelligent transport technologies including accident responsibility, privacy, and administration, and thedevelopment of standards are also covered. These items have been selectedfrom the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2002 and 2007. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some ofthe non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
