Review and Critique MoDOT's State Revenue Forecasting Model
The Missouri Department of Transportation commissioned this study to evaluate its current forecasting models of revenues generated by state highway users. The forecasts are based on econometric analyses of highway user revenues and the factors that determine those revenues. The study found that revenues from highway users in Missouri are mainly determined by socioeconomic factors, such as fuel price, population, and income level.
