"I Say GO!": IATA's Safety Audit for Ground Operations - ISAGO - Set for Launch in Early 2008
While safety is at the core of the International Air Transport Association's (IATA's) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program, huge efficiency gains are to be made through it as well. A second program, IATA' Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO), which has a standards manual currently being developed by IATA at its core, is a groundbreaking, global safety audit program. Among the ISAGO-related topics the author discusses are auditor training, trial audits, regulatory authorities, and the ISAGO program launch. Boxes present perspectives by both a ground handler and an airport authority.
