An Economic Evaluation of the Australian Federal ‘Black Spot’ Road Safety Program. Volume 3: Transport Policy
The paper evaluates of the black spot program. Estimates of engineering treatment benefits are provided using the crash-severity and crash-type methods of costing crashes. The program is estimated to have generated a net present value of one billion dollars and benefits of around four dollars per dollar of expenditure.
