Literature Review for EDAPTS Performance Specification

The objective of this literature review is to determine the current state of the art and best practices in performance-based specifications. It is expected that this knowledge will then allow researchers to develop performance-based specifications for the Efficient Deployment of Advanced Public Transportation Systems (EDAPTS) transit management system that are appropriate for the procurement of an EDAPTS system. In the literature review, the first step was to determine the definitionof a performance specification. Following this, a hypothesized set of performance metric categories were initiated that could be used in descirbing the EDAPTS transit management system. The literature review includes a listing of performance specification source documents followed by a listing of identified performance metrics by category.
