Recycling Practices for Environmental Materials
Two environmental materials, tree and brush debris and large animal road kill carcasses were investigated. The disposal methods for these materials were reviewed as opportunities/methods for possible recycling. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) established several pilot composting operations in 2006. These were monitored during their preliminary stages of operation.
