Assessment of Fracture Properties of Emulsified Asphalt Mixtures
This paper presents a study of the fracture properties of an emulsion-based, cold-laid asphalt mixture that is used as a base or binder course on light to medium-trafficked roads. The Semi-Circular Bending beam test is conducted to study the effect of test temperature and loading rate on fracture properties, referred to a fracture toughness and fracture energy. In addition, the effect of moisture ingress on fracture properties is also studied.
