DRIVING AIDS
LES AIDES A LA CONDUITE
This article reviews different driving and systems developed in the Federal Republic of Germany and in France. The ALI system is an electronic system which directs the traffic. It directs the vehicle from beginning to end of a journey along the quickest route giving data on road and weather conditions to the driver. The ARI system (radio guidance and road information) which has been successfully tried out in western Germany, gives broadcasted information. The paac system informs the driver of conditions ahead and increases his chance of survival in the case of accident. /TRRL/
