INTERNATIONAL LAW AND CANADA'S ANTI-POLLUTION LEGISLATION
Following a review of international efforts at ocean pollution prevention, the author discusses the 1954 London Convention on the prevention of pollution of the sea by oil and the past-1954 efforts at pollution control. An explanation is given of national preventive self-defense against the threat of pollution and of the Canadian solution as anticipatory self-defense.
