Pipe vs. Pipe: Picking the Perfect Pipe Can Be Perplexing

This article presents information regarding the merits of various pipe types. The need for advice in this regard is clear, as the types of pipes produced vary widely with subtle differences between each of the varietals. Pipes can vary in materials (such as plastic clay, iron, and concrete), sizes (from fractions of an inch to tens of feet), and accessory features (examples given are jointures and liners). The initial step in any pipe choice is to keep in mind four questions: 1) what is the pipe to be used for; 2) what kind of load will the pipe be carrying; 3) how much can be spent on piping; and, 4) what are the environmental factors of the location where the pipe will be placed.
