The Determinants of Earnings of Transport Managers
The author discusses a human capital model estimation for managers of multimodal Portuguese transport (including air, sea, and bus), and compares it with a social capital model. The two theories of earnings are competitive, and the author discusses what each has to offer in regard to transport managers' earnings. It is concluded that both theories contribute to earnings and that policy implications exist.
