Net profit
Line One of Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has been a major driver in the regeneration and development of Nottingham, UK. The line's success has combined extensive park and ride, segregation from and priority over other traffic for good reliability and run tines, and excellent integration with other transport. The new developments around the following tram stops are described: Station Street, Broadmarsh, Lace Market, Old Market Square, Royal Centre and Nottingham Trent University. It is hoped that the success of Line One will help persuade the government to approve NET Phase Two, which would double the tram system's length.(A)
