CHEAPER NATIONAL FOR RURAL RIDES

Some of the features of the Series B version of the Leyland National single-decker bus are described. Intended primarily for outer urban and rural routes, this country version of the standard national dispenses with the elaborate roof-mounted heating system in favour of a straight forward pair of Clayton underseat heaters and a smith's windscreen demister unit and cab heater. The changes which in no way affect the main specification of the design mean a reduction of some 10% in price compared to the standard version.
