Road heritage management framework
This paper examines roads as an engineering achievement that is expressed in their fabric. It principally examines the management of road fabric heritage, an aspect of heritage that has been overlooked, and the preservation of which is extraordinarily hard to achieve. It specifically excludes road bridges, a topic on which a considerable literature is available. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E214188.
