SIMULATIONS OF SEVERAL RUNOFF MANAGEMENT OPTIONS FOR A SMALL URBAN LAKE
Lake ecosystem model, WINGRA III has been developed to generate realistic responses in lake biota associated with changes in nutrient loads from an adjacent urban area. Urban hydrologic studies have quantified nutrient loading in relation to the presence or absence of local topography, intensity of development, and urban street maintenance practices. This paper reports the results from several simulated urban runoff management options as they are expressed in selected lake quality measures in the lake ecosystem model.
